At times there’s just nothing like a good hot bowl of soup. . . and we’re all for it. It’s worth remembering, however, that soups are, for the most part, highly vegetable-based. Even when chicken, beef, etc., are added, there’s often not at lot of protein in there over-all, leaving this healthy dish still capable of throwing too many carbohydrate calories into the mix. The problem there is that the high carbs can permit blood sugar swings that can be troublesome when the goal is to lose weight.
All three of our delicious soups (your choice of Chicken Bouillon, Cream of Chicken with Vegetables, or Cream of Tomato) are specially formulated, and standardized to contain 15 grams of protein in each serving. That’s far more than most commercial soups (or, sorry, even homemade!). Plus, with no fat, some fiber, and little or no sugar, in terms of calories they’re still right in there with regular store-bought soups.
